Corner of Doom
In my first post, I wrote about the space that might fill you with dread—what I call the ‘Corner of Doom’. It’s that shelf, drawer, or area in your home that never seems tidy, is overflowing with stuff, or has a small collection of random objects that ‘don’t belong.’ These spaces often have a magical ability to attract more mess and somehow keep growing.
Face your fear! Be brave!
You can do it.
Here’s how to tackle it step by step:
1. Face it – Take everything out. What’s actually in there?
2. Do you need these things? – If so, put them somewhere accessible where you’ll actually use them.
3. Do they belong to a category with an allocated space elsewhere? – Sort them and put them with similar items.
4. Do you like these things? – Find a place where you can see and enjoy them.
5. If you answered ‘no’ to all of these questions… that’s a definite BIN!
